Professors give free Jin Opera courses online amid epidemic

Wu Lingyun, a famous performer of Jin Opera in north China's Shanxi, has devoted his career to promoting this unique art form for years.

After the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in China, Wu turned to the live streaming platform with his parents and his wife, who are all famous performers of Jin Opera.

Jin opera is a traditional art form originated in Shanxi Province during the early years of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), featured for its energetic singing style.
