Though Francesco was born in Italy, he loved porcelain since he was a child as there were many Chinese porcelain factories around. But when he grew up, he worked as a cook and became one of the 100 top chefs of the world. He did not give up his dream of making porcelain. He went to Germany to study porcelain painting, came to China to study, and finally made porcelain in his own style.
