Zhang Dingyu, the head of Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital which was one of the major battlefields amid the pandemic, has been honored as a hero doctor for his outstanding contribution in the fight against COVID-19. Despite his serious amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which may eventually carry him away, he worked day and night to bring lives back from the brink of death.
