Huo Jidong, a Zhangjiakou native, has inherited the intangible cultural heritage of copper plate engravings.
He recently finished a handcrafted piece entitled 'Zhangjiakou in Ice and Snow', a homage to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, which took him over seven months.
Made of copper plates, the sculpture is 1.1 meters long and weighs 30 kilograms, and features the Olympic symbol and various images of ice and snow sports.
