In June 2021, the Chinese-built Lagos-Ibadan railway linking Nigeria's economic hub of Lagos and southwestern city of Ibadan, officially started full commercial operation.
The railway will be of immense benefit to the Nigerians, as it aims to reduce the cost of transportation, and create opportunities for more businesses and jobs.
