Caviar, made of the sturgeon's eggs, is often called "black gold" as it takes up to 10 years for a sturgeon to mature and produce eggs. Kecheng, a district in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, boasts one of the largest inland sturgeon breeding bases in China and produces premium caviar.
