The construction of a new high-speed railway, linking Dunhua city and Erdaobaihe town in Jilin Province, was completed on Friday.
The railway is 113 kilometers long and has a design speed of 250 km per hour. Its construction started in 2017.
The new line reaches the foot of the Changbai Mountains.
It is expected to help develop the region's tourism sector and the ice and snow economy of Changbai Mountains.
